27-29th August 2014 at St. Andrews University

This workshop will bring together world-leading scientists working in the areas of quantum materials, topologically-protected states and quantum computation, to discuss the potential for exploiting condensed matter systems for future quantum technologies.

The workshop is funded by the recently established "International Max Planck Partnership" "Measurements at the Quantum Limit" between Max Planck Society and the Universities of St. Andrews, Glasgow, Strathclyde, Heriot-Watt and Edinburgh. The workshop will start on the afternoon of the 27th, but will be preceded in the morning by a tutorial session aimed to introduce early stage researchers to the field.
